Pfefferspray-Angriff auf Jürg Scherrer

STADT BERN Auf dem Weg zu einem Podiumsgespräch über die Asylinitiative an der Universität Bern sind der Bieler Polizeidirektor Jürg Scherrer (fps) und der Zürcher Nationalrat Hans Fehr (svp) am Dienstagabend attackiert worden. Während ein maskierter Unbekannter Scherrer Pfefferspray ins linke Auge spritzte, wurde Fehr mit Eiern beworfen. Der «massive Pfefferspray-Angriff» sei aus nächster Nähe erfolgt, sagte Scherrer gestern dem «Bund». Die Sanitätspolizei habe sein Auge sofort ausgespült; er habe trotz dem Vorfall am Podium teilgenommen. Ein Sprecher der Stadtpolizei bestätigte den Angriff. Er werde Anzeige gegen Unbekannt einreichen, sagte Scherrer. Zudem werde er künftig Personenschutz verlangen, wenn er an einen Ort wie die Universität Bern gehe, die «ein linkes Nest» sei. Ein «Antirassistisches Begrüssungskomitee Uni Bern» informierte gestern die Medien per Mail über den Vorfall. (reb/ap)
